"Interpretation of Nature” - Most
of my pieces are inspired by meeting of land and water forms. The tension
that appears when these two primal forces of nature meet in their diverse
simplicity (an edge condition when the shore is gently licked by the
ocean) and at times absolute harshness (the opening of the river to the
sea, or the meeting of two oceans).
They are
abstract maps that try to capture not the geographic details
of the land and water meeting, but the feeling and awe that we
as human beings experience on the sight of these aged creations
performing the daily, yearly.. dance, a dance that can be at times
one sided and at its best a perfect equilibrium.
